The Very Best Of The Merseybeats
The Merseybeats Tony Crane, Billy Kinsley, Aaron Williams and drummer John Banks took particular pride in the way they dressed and presented themselves.
Wearing smart suits, frilly shirts and stylish boots their presence on stage was a glamorous one. They had seven UK hits which are all on the album including “I think of you”, “Don't turn around”, “Wishing and hoping”, “It's love that really counts”, “ Last night (I Made a Little Girl Cry)”, “I love you yes I do” and “I stand accused”.
Other tracks include “Mister Moonlight”, “Really Mystified” “All My Life”, “Long Tall Sally” and “The Fortune Teller”.
The Merseybeats disbanded in 1966 and two of its members (Tony Crane and Billy Kinsley) became the Merseys and had a UK top five hit with Sorrow,
