The U.S. Launched Gemini 8.

The USSR launched Luna 10.

The Russian space probe Venera 3 crashed on Venus.

April

Luna 10 is the first spacecraft to orbit the Moon.

US performed a nuclear test at the Nevada Test Site

May

Ian Brady & Myra Hindley were sentenced to life in prison for committing the Moors Murders.
