Dave Clark Five - The Hits

As one of the only potential rivals to the might of The Beatles at the height of their British Invasion powers, the Dave Clark Five (under the leadership of Tottenham-born drummer Dave Clark) released a slew of big-selling hits throughout the 60s, many of which are collected here. At the top of the list is the ubiquitous 'Do You Love Me', a cover of a song intended initially for The Temptations. The band's first UK no.1 single, 'Glad All Over' also makes a spirited appearance alongside other top ten entries such as 'Catch Us If You Can' and 'Bits And Pieces'.

John Boorman makes his directorial debut with this cult 1960’s story in which Dave Clark appears as a stuntman who gives up the rat-race to see the real world, along with the Dave Clark Five Band and Dave's model girlfriend. On a sunny island they mix with beatniks and society people while singing Top Ten hits during a wild weekend, as agents, ad men and the press try to catch them if they can.
