This re-issue combines two out-of-print Four Top’s Motown classics together on one
CD, 'Yesterday's Dreams' (1968) & 'Soul Spin' (1969).
If you like the Four Tops and not just the hit singles these two albums epitomize
the Motown sound of the Sixties. Close harmonies and the rich, smooth voice of lead
singer, Levi Stubbs.
The 23 tracks include “Cant Seem To Get You Out Of My Mind”, “I’m In A Different
World”, “Honey”, “California Dreamin' ”, “Never My Love”, “Yesterdays Dreams” and
two Bacharach & David classics “This guy's in love with you” and “The look of love”.

Definitive Collection
In Celebration of Motown's 50th Anniversary, Motown releases ten new compilations
to add to The Definitive Collection series. Each "Definitive" disc contains: Original
stereo recordings, digitally remastered; Booklet with classic photos and extensive
liner notes; No. 1 hits, anthems and classic B-sides; Familiar Motown greats from
every era all whilst being beautifully packaged with a consistent line look. Ten
legendary names in music join the all-star "Definitive Collection" roster!
18 Classic Tracks including Baby I Need Your Loving, Bernadette, It's The Same Old
Song, Walk Away Renee, Reach Out, I'll Be There, Standing In The Shadows Of Love,
It's All In The Game, 7-Rooms Of Gloom, and many more.

An all but impossible to beat single disc greatest hits set, this collection covers
just about every crucial stage of the Tops' career. During Motown's 1960s glory days,
the Tops were abetted by the brilliant writing/producing team of Holland-Dozier-Holland.
The timeless soul classics that sprung forth, including "Baby I Need Your Loving"
and the epic "Reach Out I'll Be There", are indeed essential.
The group's post-HDH
career is surprisingly rewarding, from soulful covers of Tim Hardin and the Left
Banke, to their early 1970s successes at ABC/Paramount ("Ain't No Woman Like the
One I Got"), and their disco era smash ("When She Was My Girl"). If you only have
room for one Four Tops album, this is the one to grab.

FOR THE FIRST TIME ON DVD, 22 legendary full length performances by the hit-making
Motown group. From rare localtelevision clips to celebrated appearances on the national
stage, this collection offers a stunning array of classic Motown music, with remastered

The acclaimed best selling story of Tamla Motown records - the most successful independent
record label in the world. Now acknowledged by critics in both the US and Europe
as the definitive account of the rise and fall of the Motown Sound. It covers the
careers of all the great Motown artists - The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations,
Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Four Tops, The Jackson Five and
many more. It tells the story behind all their hits and how the company was run on
factory like principles by Berry Gordy who as a result became the richest black American
in history. It paints a portrait of gullible artists signing away their rights and,
eventually, falling out with Gordy over monetary matters and that many of the back
room boys at Motown - the writers and the musicians who played on the records - got
a pittance for their efforts.
